Leadership: Constant Improvement
In my experience the best leaders are those who are consistently improving and growing both as individuals and as professionals. They stay up to date with their evolving industries and seek guidance, coaching, attend seminars, and even enroll in trainings to be at the top of their game. This mindset it also a key ingredient to staying sharp and confident.
Like in sports, the best athletes are constantly improving their games. Roger Federer was notorious for seeking out new coaches when he reached a peak and felt his game needed new training. As someone who believes in Life Long Learning, I apply and encourage this mindset for myself and clients. Adopting a learning mindset early on has also been one of the best ways to stay humble and open-minded. There is so much to learn and endless ways to improve, whether this means learning how to communicate better with our teams or hitting a better groundstroke on the court, the results are winning.
